Pre-requisites to note before booking:-
Makeup application may not be suitable in certain situations due to skin conditions or health concerns. Common contra-indications include:
- Active Skin Infections (e.g., cold sores, conjunctivitis, impetigo)
- Severe Acne or Open Wounds (to prevent irritation or infection)
- Allergic Reactions (known allergies to makeup ingredients)
- Recent Cosmetic Procedures (e.g., chemical peels, micro-needling, laser treatments—skin needs time to heal)
- Severe Skin Conditions (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, if inflamed or broken)
- Sunburn or Skin Sensitivity (irritated skin may react negatively to makeup)
After-care:-
To care for your skin, lashes and remove makeup effectively, I recommend the following:
- Oil Based Remover (oil attracts oil, so if you have oily skin, using an oil based cleanser won’t affect your skin and is ideal for removing all makeup)
- Avoid Wipes! Wipes are harmful to your skin and also irritates skin. Micellar water is better but it isn’t the best for removing mascara or oil based products
- Removal of Lashes (oil based cleanser should also be effective for removing lashes – do not directly pull the lashes off as this can actually pull your real lashes off)
- Follow Up with Second Cleanser I recommend following up with a double cleanse and should be using, ideally, a sulphate free cleanser
- Skin Care Follow up with your usual skin care routine
