Men’s Intimate

Male Body Waxing, Men's Intimate, Mens Grooming

Getting an intimate wax can be very daunting especially if you’ve never had one before. With me, you won’t need to feel shy / embarrassed in any way, I’ve seen it all and there’s nothing to be worried about. You can also have peace of mind that I’m very professional and that discretion and privacy is guaranteed. So can an intimate wax be uncomfortable? In short, yes it can. Overtime, however, with regular waxing, the discomfort levels reduce as the hair grows back finer. The difference between a wax and shaving is very noticeable and, personally, I prefer a wax any day of the week! Typical regrowth varies from person to person but usually lasts up to 2 weeks until you start to see regrowth. Male hair is typically more coarse therefore I use a strong hot wax to ensure it’s pulled from the root and not just breaking the hair. The wax service removes hair from the pubis, penis, teste’s, perinium and all of the bum.

One of the other daunting things about an intimate wax is not knowing what to expect so I’ve listed below what you could expect during an intimate wax with me.

Using hot wax for hair removal on a male body requires careful preparation and technique to ensure effective results while minimizing pain and skin irritation.

1. Preparation

  • Choosing the Right Wax: I use hard wax for sensitive areas (chest, back, underarms, groin) and soft wax with strips for larger areas (legs, arms).
  • Trim the Hair: Ill then ensure the hair is around ¼ to ½ inch (6-12mm) for optimal removal, trimming the hair if it’s too long.
  • Cleanse the Skin: I will then wash and dry the area to remove oils.
  • Apply Pre-Wax Oil: This will be to help protect the skin, especially when using hard wax.

2. Heating the Wax

  • Test the Temperature: I’ll then apply a small amount on my wrist first to test the temperature and then proceed onto your wrist to ensure you’re comfortable.

3. Application

  • Apply the Wax in the Direction of Hair Growth: I’ll then use a spatula or applicator stick to spread a thin, even layer. For certain areas you may be required to hold certain areas in place, whilst the wax is being applied. Once the wax has hardened, I’ll then remove the strip in a swift movement and applying pressure immediately after to relieve discomfort. This process is continued until no more hair remains. If you wish to keep certain areas with hair, that’s completely fine and will be discussed at consultation stage at the beginning of the treatment.
  • Positioning: For certain parts of the waxing, I may just need to reposition you so that I can get to the area in the most effective way.

4. Post-Wax Care

  • Remove Residue: Ill then use a post-wax oil to remove leftover wax.
  • Soothe the Skin: I’ll then apply a post-wax lotion to calm irritation.

Prerequisites to note before booking:-

  • Avoid Sweat & Friction: Stay away from hot showers, workouts, and tight clothing for 24 hours after having a wax
  • Exfoliate After 48 Hours: Prevents ingrown hairs by gently scrubbing the skin.
  • Surgery: If you’ve had any recent surgeries the service won’t be able to go ahead.
  • Laser: If you get laser treatment, it’s highly recommended to not wax in between appointments.
  • Open Cuts / lesions: If you have an open cut or lesion it may be possible to amend the service but I definitely would not be able to wax over it. If uncertain, please contact me to enquire further.

Is male waxing painful?

In short, waxing can cause slight discomfort however, there are things you can do to help alleviate the pain. This includes staying well hydrated, exfoliating a few days before the wax and taking a hot bath an hour before the waxing as it helps open up the hair follicle so the hair pulls out easier. Do not wear any body creams, lotions etc as this can make it harder for the wax to cling to the hair

What to wear?

Sounds silly, but do not wear tight fitting clothing. Keep it loose and casual as this is less likely to irritate the skin, same goes for underwear - do not wear tight fitting on the day of your appointment.

What can I do before the appointment?

Stay hydrated, shower and avoid body creams/lotions.

If I wanted to add on more services when I'm there, can I do that?

I'm more then happy to accommodate additional services if I have the time. If I don't have the time, we can always set up the next available appointment I have.

Aftercare

After the treatment, I'll provide you with aftercare but please do check prerequisites before booking as things like going to the gym, or taking a hot shower you shouldn't be doing.

If I need to cancel?

Please read terms and conditions located at bottom of the page for cancellations but all deposits for bookings are non-refundable. If you wish to reschedule, that's absolutely fine if its within 3 to 7 days. Any notice to reschedule less then this would be at a discretion and dependant on circumstances.
