Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the agreement between Makeup By Mark (“Artist”) and the Client (“Client”) for professional makeup, hair and waxing services. By booking the Artist’s services, the Client agrees to the following terms.

2. Bookings and Payments

2.1. A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the service cost is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment before services commence.
2.2. Payments can be made via card, online or bank transfer.
2.3. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit. Failure to pay the deposit may result in cancellation of the appointment.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1. If the Client cancels at least 3 days before the appointment, they may reschedule within 48hrs without losing the deposit.
3.2. Cancellations made within 2 days of the appointment are non-refundable.
3.3. If the Artist cancels due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued, or an alternative arrangement will be offered.

4. Travel and Additional Fees

4.1. Travel fees apply for services, which the costs incurred to the client will be made clear at the time of booking
4.2. Destination/oversee bookings may require travel expenses and accommodation to be covered by the Client.

5. Late Arrivals and No-Shows

5.1. Clients must arrive on time. A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed; beyond this, a late fee of £15 may be charged.
5.2. If the Client is more than 30 minutes late, the appointment may be canceled without a refund or the service will be limited to the timeframe that was allocated for the service.
5.3. No-shows will forfeit their payment.

6. Hygiene and Allergies

6.1. The Artist follows strict hygiene standards and uses clean, sanitized tools and products.
6.2. The Client must inform the Artist of any allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities prior to the appointment. The Artist is not liable for any reactions if proper disclosure was not made.

7. Service Limitations

7.1. The Artist reserves the right to refuse services if the Client has contagious conditions, open wounds, or other contraindications.
7.2. The Artist will not duplicate another artist’s work but will take inspiration and create a unique look.

8. Photography and Marketing

8.1. The Artist may take photos of the makeup application for portfolio and marketing purposes, unless the Client objects.
8.2. Photos will not be altered in a misleading way and will only be used for promotional content.

9. Liability

9.1. The Artist is not responsible for any adverse reactions, stains, or damages resulting from makeup application, provided all necessary precautions were taken.
9.2. The Artist’s liability is limited to the cost of the booked services.

10. Force Majeure

10.1. The Artist is not liable for cancellations or delays due to events beyond control (e.g., illness, natural disasters, or transportation failures).
10.2. In such cases, a rescheduling option will be provided.

11. Agreement

11.1. By booking, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
11.2. Any amendments to this agreement must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
